The Bread Lab has outgrown its first home and is expanding into a 12,000-square-foot building at the Port of Skagit County. To relocate, renovate and equip the new Bread Lab, we are raising $300,000.
Amazingly, through word of mouth, we are already half way there.
Acme Valley Foods has generously pledged $100,000 if we can raise an additional $200,000. Hearing that, the all-star owner/employees of King Arthur Flour responded with a check for $50,000 and other friends came forward, too.
So we now have only $110,000 more to go!
The funds will support broadening the scope of the Bread Lab’s grain research by including a brewing and distilling lab, increasing classroom space and class offerings, and developing a professional kitchen for visiting chefs, bakers, farmers, millers, maltsters and entrepreneurs to explore the endless possibilities of delicious, nutritious grains.
Thank you for whatever you can contribute to help us meet this challenge! Every gift, of any size, is both helpful and greatly appreciated.
